WAS
THE REAL
MURDERER?
Once,
a car
driver
had a serious
dispute with villagers after
a
relatively
minor traffic
accident.
As
he
was soon
found dead
amongst
the grass
beside
the
highway, the
villagers were naturally
highly suspected
to
be
responsible.
Fortunately, an autopsy
was made. The
driver
was found to
be
entirely lree from
any
signs
of
fighting.
His right half of
the body was entirely intact but the
other
half had signs of severe impact
from
the chest
downwards.
Moreover, the
direction
of
the
impact was from the
posterior aspect
of
the left side
of the
body.
The
injuries
did not
resemble
those inflicted
by axe
or
spades.
When
the coroner opened up his
abdomen,
the
lelt
kidney and
the
spleen
had
severe lacerations and
there
were
3,000
ml of blood mixed with
water.
lt
was apparent that the driver
was
hit
very
hard at one go by
a
very
heavy object.
At
the scene
of
the crime, several trees
were also
smashed,
most probably by
a heavy
truck.
The conclusion
was
that
the driver was hit unawares when
he
was directing
traffic
after
the
minor
accident.
