Professor
Wang
graduated
from
the
Medical
College of Beijing
Univer-
sity in
1948.
Since
'1952,
he
has been
functioning
as
the Deputy
Department
Head and Department Head of lnternal
Medicine, and
the
Director
and
Honourary Director of Beijing
Friend-
ship Hospital.
He
was
appointed Visit-
ing
Professor at
John
Hopkins Univer-
sity
in 1980.
His
academic and research
accomplishments have
received more
than
10 prizes from
the
Health Depart-
ment and
the
City Progress in Science
and Technology.
Prolessor Wang devotes most
ol
his
energy
to
researching 2 important
areas of internal medicine. The
lirst area
concentrates on
the
diagnosis
and
treatment of liver fibrosis (hardening of
the liver), using Chinese Medicine. The
second area concentrates on analyz-
ing
treatments
of
multi-organ failures
re-
sulting from serious
disease
complications.
His product "861" which
uses
combined methods in both the
West-
ern and Chinese Medicine, not
only
theoretically broke
the
non-reversibility
of the fibrosis,
but also
clinically
it
achieved satislactory results.
He has
far
exceeded international expectations
in
the rate of rescuing patients who suffer
from multi-organ damage resulting from
serious diseases.
